考试： 无（因为此课程为入门级介绍性课程，为就读二级预科基础课程提供基础知识）

Level 1 Course: Wine Fundamentals For Professionals

All programs of professional study begin with the IWG Wine Foundation Course. To complete a level I certification you must attend the Certification Seminars.

Course Period: 8 hours of class, In 1 or 2 days.
 

Basic Topics: Introduction to wine grapes, wine making, old and new world wines, basic wine styles, wine evaluation components, smell and taste exercises, basic wine evaluation

Handout materials: about 50 pages

Number of wines: Taste of 8 different wines from the new and old world continents.

Exam: There will be no examination required, as this is the basic introduction to professional wine certification and the preparatory course for level 2.
